Privacy Policy
Cell Tracker will upload the following information to http://cell-id.info
- Mobile operator country code
- Mobile operator network code
- Cell tower location area code
- Cell tower cell id
- Cell tower type (EDGE, UMTS, LTE, …)
- Latitude and longitude received from lookup by mobile network code, country code, location area code and cell id
- Estimated address of cell tower detected by reverse geocoding of latitude and longitude
- Date and time of cell contact
These data will be used to create a crowd sourced database of cell towers, online available at http://cell-id.info
If you don’t want to transmit these data, please do not use this app.
PERMISSIONS
- READ_PHONE_STATE: required on pre Android 6 devices to get information about mobile connection speed and signal strength. On devices with Android 6 and newer, this permission is needed to determine if the device is a dual sim device and show information about mobile connection speed and signal strength.
- ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: required to get lac and cell id.
